Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These terms govern your use of Olio, operated by Holiander, Inc. ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
We have tried to write these in plain language. Where a section limits your rights or ours, we have said so directly rather than burying it.
1. The service
Olio hosts a public page at olio.am/yourusername containing links you choose, along with tools to manage and measure them. We offer a free plan and a paid Premium plan.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction to purchase Premium.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@olio.am if you believe someone else has access to it.
One person or organisation per account. You may not resell access to your account.
3. Acceptable use
What you may and may not link to is governed by our Content Policy, which forms part of these terms. It lists three prohibited categories and nothing else.
Separately from content, you may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems
- Interfere with the service's operation, including through automated request volume intended to degrade it
- Use the service to distribute malware or conduct phishing
- Impersonate another person or organisation in a way likely to deceive
- Scrape the service at a scale that burdens it
4. Your content
You own your content. The links, text, images and other material you add remain yours.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content, solely for the purpose of operating the service — that is, showing your page to the people you share it with. This licence exists because serving a web page is technically impossible without it. It ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train machine learning models.
Where AI features generate suggested text for you, the suggestions are yours to use, edit or discard. Nothing is published to your page without you choosing it.
5. Premium and billing
Premium is billed monthly at the price shown on our pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Premium features remain available until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate partial months.
- Refunds. If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase affecting you. You may cancel before it takes effect.
- Failed payments. If payment fails we will retry. If it continues to fail, your account reverts to the free plan — your page and links stay live, but Premium features stop.
6. Downgrading to free
If you move from Premium to free, your page remains published. Links beyond the free plan's limit become inactive rather than deleted, and Premium-only features are switched off. Restoring Premium restores them.
7. Suspension and termination
This section matters more than most, so we have been specific about it.
We may remove a link that violates the Content Policy. We will email you the reason.
We may suspend an account for:
- Repeated violations of the Content Policy after notice
- A single severe violation — child sexual abuse material or credible threats of violence result in immediate termination
- Conduct prohibited under section 3 (attacks on the service, fraud, impersonation)
- Non-payment, after the retries described in section 5
- Compliance with a valid legal order
We will not suspend your account because of your opinions, your lawful profession, your activity on other platforms, or the volume of complaints made about you. This is a commitment, not a courtesy.
Except where a severe violation or legal order requires immediate action, we will tell you before we suspend an account and give you an opportunity to respond.
You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. Deletion removes your page, links and analytics. It cannot be undone, and the username is released for others to claim.
8. Availability
We work to keep Olio available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages and failures of upstream providers all happen. We do not offer a service level agreement on any plan.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. If you are on the free plan, that amount is zero.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost business, or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Third-party links
Olio pages point at sites we do not operate and cannot vouch for. We are not responsible for third-party content, and a link existing on an Olio page is not an endorsement of it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email to account holders, and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
Changes to the Content Policy follow the versioning described in that document.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Nothing here removes any consumer protection right you have under the law of your own country of residence.
